Why yes, I did choose my stitch marker to match my yarn. From next week I’m off with the family to visit my in-laws, so if I’m extra quiet here on IG you’ll know why. Swatch number two of a lace pattern that I thought might combine well with brioche. It’s ‘Bell Lace’ from Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. Contemplating a picot bind off and remembering the last time I did one, which, believe it or not, was 2016. I didn’t believe it was that long ago until I scrolled back through my feed and found this photo! It was just before I discovered brioche and started designing, so its one of the last large projects I knit from someone else’s instructions. I’m planning a brioche and lace shawl so I’ve been swatching possible combinations of brioche and lace. Here’s one attempt. I really like how the lines of brioche flow into the lace, but I want something a little more intricate for the lace pattern, so I’ll keep hunting.
