An increase worked into a left slanting decrease, so that the total number of stitches does not change:
- Slip 1 stitch (along with its yarn over) knitwise
- brk the next two stitches together (do not drop the sts off the left needle), yarn over, brk, all into the same stitches (now drop the sts off the left needle)
- Pass the slipped stitch (along with its yarn over) over the set of three stitches just worked
